The State of the Nation’s Children Ireland 2006 report - check out pages 200-205 to view important information on children’s eating habits around breakfasts. To access the report click here. Obesity: The Policy Strategy: The Report of the National Taskforce on Obesity (2005) - check out pages 88-89 to view the 22 recommendations by the taskforce in order to tackle the problem of obesity in schools. Health Promotion is an informative website, with information on alcohol, smoking, breastfeeding, Young People, Mental Health, Drugs and Sexual Health. For more information click here. Little Steps campaign for healthy eating - developed by safefood and the Health Service Executive (HSE), in consultation with a wide range of nutrition and physical activity professionals, the website aims to support parents and guardians as positive role models for their children by showing that making small changes to food habits and physical activity, little steps, can have a big impact over time. For more information click here. The Nutrition and Health Foundation’s website provides information on exercise and healthy eating, including an interactive food pyramid and food labelling.
