Roundtable Event to coincide with FAO World Food Day 16th October 2007
A roundtable event was attended by key policy-makers and decision-makers in the food retail sector, government departments, the health sector and the community/voluntary sector. The purpose of the event was to discuss potential actions to promote better access to healthy food on the island of Ireland. Copies of the speakers presentations are available here:
The second regional networking event was held in Limerick city. Feedback from this event again was very positive and participants stated that they valued the opportunity to learn from each others' experience. The event also coincided with the launch of the Limerick Food Partnership.
This is the second in a series of regional networking events. The first event was held in Carrickmacross in February. Thanks to all who contributed to an interesting and thought-provoking discussion. There was a great turnout and feedback suggests that participants really valued the opportunity to network with people from a variety of backgrounds, to share information and to learn about the variety and extent of different projects and research available.
