Limerick Food Partnership

Limerick Food Partnership is a collaboration of business, statutory agencies, communities and local government, coming together to improve people’s health by increasing access to affordable, healthy, quality food.

The Partnership achieves this by:

  • Supporting initiatives in the city such as School meals, Food bank, Community Cafés, & Meals to older  people;
  • Supporting local communities to develop local food systems and initiatives such as Food Co-ops;
  • Influencing policy related to food supply and trade through local action and local government;
  • Promoting the availability of healthy food options at reasonable prices without exploiting people or the environment, locally or worldwide

Limerick Food Partnership co-ordinates and/or supports a number of food projects in Limerick City including: Community Based School Meals provision, Southill Community Food Cooperative, Mid West Food Bank, Meals to Older People.
