What is a food partnership?
A food partnership is an organisation overseeing more than one food project in a particular geographical area. It acts as a forum whereby people from different sectors come together to think strategically about local food needs.  A partnership provides direction and guidance to food projects.  It examines the wider implications of food and its relationship to the local economy, community and environment.  An action plan is developed involving key local stakeholders to implement policies and practices, promoting key aims such as reducing the barriers to healthy eating.
