The elimination of food poverty requires a multi-dimensional approach.  The initiative is supported by both a management group and an advisory committee.  Members of these groups come from a variety of backgrounds, including community, governmental and private sectors.

Management Group

The initiative is managed by a committee consisting of 5 representatives from Combat Poverty Agency, Crosscare, SafeFood, Tallaght Partnership and UCD School of Biology and Environmental Science.  The Management Committee manages the project coordinator, the project budget and the work programme of the HFFA Initiative.  It meets on a monthly basis to facilitate and oversee the development and implementation of the workplan of the initiative.

Advisory Committee
An Advisory Committee acts as a forum for the inclusion of a broad range of key stakeholders, including membership from relevant government departments and agencies, independent experts and relevant national and local organisations, across the island of Ireland.  The Advisory Committee meets on a quarterly basis to provide support for the development and implementation of the one-year action plan.
