Healthy Food for All Policy Submissions
The Healthy Food For All Initiative aims to ensure that food poverty remains a priority issue on the political agenda. The prevention of food poverty requires alleviation of both socio-economic inequalities and the reasons for socioeconomic variations in dietary behaviour. This requires that critical public policies are co-ordinated across all departments, including economics, nutrition, agri-business, welfare, education and health.

HFfA aim to highlight the issues by:

  • making relevant policy submissions to government departments
  • lobbying the government to ensure policies do not impact on an individual's ability to obtain an affordable and nutritious diet
  • making the connections between local action and national policy
